My new book is ready!
My new book, Portable Typewriters , is out! I will be releasing a lower-priced black-and-white copy soon. It is available in paperback and Kindle. This was a project that took two years, and two laptop computers to accomplish. (My first draft and laptop was lost to a kitchen sink...but I was able to rebuild my draft!) https://www.amazon.com/dp/1727184084/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1536640691&sr=8-2&keywords=bodemer
Nice to see this variant pop up. The "attache" typewriter case machines are a fun subset model. I picked up a Montgomery Ward 440T from '66 that came with an attache-style case, but I can't tell from existing entries if *all* 1966 440T's came with this case or just a select few:

The Brother machine uses a curiously powerful clamp system to hold the machine in the case as well.
I also wouldn't mind finding a 1962 edition Tower Attache:

OOh. I like that styling. I have one from 1961 which is the rebranded Skyriter with soft funky paint that if cleaned will obliterate the lettering for the name.
